When it comes to orthodontics, you only want the best and latest technology for your family’s care. High-tech innovations have made wearing braces and other orthodontic appliances more comfortable. They have also led to faster treatment times and better long-lasting results. That’s why we make it a commitment to research the most groundbreaking advancements in the field. And, we utilize the latest tools and treatments for our patients at Pridemore & Cox Orthodontics.
In addition to highly-skilled and specially trained orthodontists, we use high-tech equipment. Take a look at two of the latest innovations we are proud to bring to your treatment plan.
iTero Element 2
We know that you’re eager to see your new smile, and that waiting can be the hardest part. With the iTero Element 2, we are able to show you highly accurate digital imaging of your orthodontic progress and the results you can expect to see in the future.
This innovative scanner allows us to take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth and jaw. Therefore, we are able to skip the tray and putty impression process that we all dread! The compact wand is more comfortable for patients and produces highly-accurate impressions. This allows you to see your teeth instantly in 3D.
The laser on the scanner is radiation-free. It can take as little as two to three minutes to render a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and mouth. Digital software is used to track the progressions of your scans. This includes a 3D model of your teeth that you can see directly on our high-definition, color monitors.
It’s important for our orthodontists to understand your exact tooth position in relationship to your anatomy. This information helps us to plan the most effective treatment that will be the least invasive and result in the best alignment. The i-Cat FLX is a scanner that offers a 3D analysis of your teeth and impression-less models. This make planning your treatment even more impactful.
By using specialized large censors, this powerful piece of machinery produces scans of your teeth that don’t sacrifice image quality or the anatomical accuracy that other scanners with smaller censors do. This means that your 2D scans are just as specialized as your 3D images, which helps doctors to tailor your treatment to your exact needs.
This technology also allows us to take complete images at a lower dose of radiation and in significantly less time, making your treatment as comfortable as possible.
